Description

Released in 2010, this is the first Broken Social Scene record after the well - received Broken Social Scene Presents series. The core six - piece, including Drew, Canning, Spearin, Whiteman, Goldberg, and Peroff, spent early 2009 crafting new music in Toronto. Reducing the band's large personnel for the first time was very productive. They created spacious, band - written songs, resulting in more unified and melody - driven compositions than previous BSS works. Recorded in Toronto and Chicago with producer John McEntire, they found a new take on their sound. The album features guest appearances from BSS alumni like Leslie Feist, Stars' Amy Millan and Evan Cranley, Metric's Emily Haines and Jimmy Shaw, and more. It's the 4th studio album recorded with members of Pavement, Death From Above 1979, The Sea And Cake, Tortoise, Metric, and Feist. This is a black double vinyl pressing, housed in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves. Originally released in 2010, it's from the Arts & Crafts label in 2022.

To enjoy this Broken Social Scene vinyl record, simply place it on your turntable and gently drop the needle onto the groove. Make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition for the best sound quality. When handling the vinyl, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches on the playing surface. After each use, return the record to its printed inner sleeve and then to the gatefold jacket to protect it from dust and damage. Store the record in a cool, dry place, and avoid stacking heavy objects on top of it. This will help maintain the record's quality and ensure you can enjoy the music for years to come.
