Description

I'm really shocked we've never had Bob James' One in the lab before. 'Nautilus' has been sampled in countless songs like 'Children's Story' by Slick Rick, 'Follow the Leader' by Eric B. and Rakim, 'Beats to the Rhyme' by Run - DMC, and 'Clap Your Hands' by A Tribe Called Quest. This record is often regarded as an important forerunner of the smooth jazz genre. It's ironic as tracks like 'Valley of the Shadows', 'Soulero', and 'Night on Bald Mountain' have intense orchestral arrangements. 'In The Garden' blends laid - back country elements with Pachabel's 'Canon in D'. Engineered by the legendary Rudy Van Gelder in his Englewood Cliffs studio, it features Idris Muhammad on drums, Grover Washington Jr. on soprano sax, and other top session musicians. Remastered from original analog tapes, it comes as 6 tracks on 180g yellow vinyl. This indie - exclusive, limited - edition LP is housed in a gatefold jacket with extensive liner notes and a printed insert. Originally released in 1974 and re - issued by Evosound in 2021. Highly recommended!

To use this vinyl LP, first make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the record on the turntable, center it, and lower the tonearm carefully onto the lead - in groove. Enjoy the high - quality sound of this remastered album. When handling the vinyl, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches on the playing surface. After each use, return the record to its gatefold jacket to protect it from dust and damage. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, and keep it upright to prevent warping. This limited - edition vinyl is a precious item, so take good care of it to ensure long - term enjoyment.
