Description

The Audio-Technica AT-LP140XP-BK is a fully manual, direct-drive DJ turntable in sleek black. It's great for professional DJs and daily listeners. The high-torque motor with speed stabilization handles mixing and scratching well. There's a pre-mounted AT-XP3 DJ cartridge on an AT-HS6 headshell. The adjustable pitch control has selectable ranges, quartz lock, and a reverse play button. The balanced S-shaped tonearm has hydraulic lift control, height adjustment, and anti-skate control. Its heavyweight build with a damped base and die-cast aluminum platter reduces resonance and noise. The die-cast stroboscopic platter has a speed indicator. A retractable plug type stylus light helps with cueing in low light. It has a dedicated phono level output (no built-in phono preamp) and detachable RCA connections. A removable hinged dustcover is included. The AT-LP140XP is Audio-Technica's top DJ turntable, offering powerful performance at a lower price than similar models. It's a 3-speed turntable with selectable 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM speeds. The tonearm is balanced S-shaped with a detachable headshell. It has high starting torque, a good anti-skate range, and a high signal-to-noise ratio. Comes with an AT-XP3 phono cartridge, cables, counterweight, felt mat, dust cover, 45 RPM adapter, and stylus light. Compared to the AT-LP120X, it has more DJ-specific features, an upgraded motor, cartridge, and wider pitch control range, but no USB output for digitizing vinyl.

Using the Audio-Technica AT-LP140XP-BK turntable is easy. First, make sure it's placed on a stable surface. Connect the dual RCA cables to your amplifier or receiver. Put the felt mat on the platter and place your vinyl record on it. Adjust the anti - skate control according to the weight of your cartridge. You can select the speed (33 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) as needed. Use the pitch control to change the speed within the selectable ranges. When cueing in low light, turn on the retractable plug type stylus light. Remember, this turntable doesn't have a built - in phono preamp, so you'll need an external one if your amplifier doesn't support phono input. For maintenance, keep the turntable clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the platter and tonearm regularly. Avoid touching the stylus with your fingers as it can damage the tip. When not in use, put on the removable hinged dustcover to protect it from dust and debris. Also, store your vinyl records properly to ensure good sound quality.
