French composer Alain Goraguer, initially known as a sideman and arranger for Serge Gainsbourg, composed few soundtracks. But his 'La Planète Sauvage' (1973) is a must - have in French essential music. Around the same time, Goraguer crafted two rare and beautiful scores with masterful arrangements. In 'L'Affaire Dominici' (1975), he creates a melodious theme using breathy flutes, clavinet D6 baroque textures, wah - wah guitars and slow drums, evoking the atmosphere of 'La Planète Sauvage'. The score of 'Au delà de la peur' (1975) features a descending clavinet melody, twanging bass riff, funky drums and bended electric guitars. This record also includes unreleased tracks from French national radio vaults - beautiful, timeless orchestral pieces recorded at Studio 105, Maison de la radio. It's remastered from original master tapes. It comes as a black vinyl pressing with an obi strip, and is released by Transversales Disques in 2024.
