This record features her most popular hit, a brilliant cover of Ashford & Simpsons 'California Soul,' sampled by Primo, DJ Shadow, and Madlib. It's worth the price alone! But there's more. With arrangements and production by Richard Evans and Charles Stepney, the album is full of funky beats and Shaw's soulful vocals. To enjoy this Marlena Shaw LP, simply place it on your record player. Make sure the player is set to the correct speed (usually 33 1/3 RPM). When handling the LP, hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. After each use, return it to its sleeve to protect it from dust and damage.
