Description

Low's approach can be described as essentialism, where each musical gesture packs a punch. This fifth studio album, their first for Kranky, is a masterpiece. The voices of Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker carry a simple grace. Instrumentally, they've expanded, but each song still builds on deceptively simple patterns of voice, bass, guitar, and light percussion. It's a 150 - gram all - analog processed black double vinyl pressing. Produced by Steve Albini in 1999 and re - released by Kranky in 2021, it comes in a gatefold sleeve and includes bonus tracks like 'Old Man Song', 'Last Breath', and 'Untitled'. There are also 2 tracks not on the CD, with all - analog mastering and cutting.

To enjoy this vinyl album, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable, center it, and then lower the needle onto the groove. Listen at a comfortable volume. When you're done, lift the needle carefully and put the record back in its gatefold sleeve. Keep the vinyl away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture to prevent warping. Clean it regularly with a soft, anti - static brush to maintain sound quality.
