Using the Little Fwend Disco MKII Automatic Tonearm Lifter is a breeze. First, make sure your turntable is one of the compatible Technics models like SL - 1200, SL - 1210, or SL - 1300G. You don't need any tools for installation. Just use the 3M 300LSE ultra - thin double - sided mounting tape to attach the magnetic mounting platform to the appropriate spot on your turntable. Then, place the lifter on the magnetic platform. Adjust the height of the lifter according to your tonearm's clearance height setting on the Technics turntable. You can use the included Eklind 1.5mm allen key to fine - tune it. As the record plays, the lifter will stay out of the way and won't affect the sound. When the record ends, it will automatically lift the tonearm. This not only extends the life of your stylus but also prevents scratchy sounds. Remember, this lifter is not compatible with Audio - Technica AT - LP120, AT - LP120x, AT - LP140, AT - LP1240, Pioneer PLX series or other DJ turntables. For maintenance, keep it clean and dry. If you need to readjust it, the magnetic mount makes it easy.
