Once powered on, select the appropriate rotation speed (33 - 1/3, 45, or 78 RPM) for your record. Gently place your vinyl on the platter and lower the tonearm onto the record. For digitizing, connect the turntable to your recording device. When you're done, cover the turntable with the dust cover to protect it. As for maintenance, keep the platter and tonearm clean. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe off any dust. Avoid touching the cartridge with your fingers as it's very delicate. If you're using batteries, replace them when the battery life indicator shows it's low or when the sound quality starts to degrade. Also, store the turntable in a dry and cool place to ensure its long - term performance.
