Jim James continues from his 2009 album
Tribute To, where he covered George Harrison's songs to cope with the Beatle's passing. The home - recorded first album was intimate yet intense. In this sequel, the same vibe remains, but the production value has been enhanced. Cover albums can be challenging, as it's hard to reinterpret classics from The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, Emerson, Lake & Palm, etc. However, Jim James adds a fresh perspective and reinterprets these tracks with his unique vision. The mood is more positive, with the covers 'echoing hope and blurring time and genre boundaries'. Check out standout tracks like 'I Just Wasn't Made For These Times' by Brian Wilson, 'Baby Don't Go' by Sonny and Cher, 'The World Is Falling Down' by Abbey Lincoln, and 'Wild Honey' by The Beach Boys.
