J.C. Smith II, aka Instinct, released a few records on his Decisive Imprint. 'Mindsearch' is the most sought - after one. It takes Derrick May's techno to a new level and influenced the early works of Underground Resistance and Carl Craig. The lead track 'Mindsearch' is an afrofuturist cosmic journey. A rich synth - string layer floats over a powerful techno beat, with ravey, cut - up vocals. The flip - side 'Catastrophe' is a bit jazzier and more energetic, while 'A Groove' brings back the deepness. Originally mixed by Anthony 'Shake' Shakir and now available from Berlin's Sound Metaphors. Original copies are trading for over $100, so this re - pressing is a must - have. To use this vinyl, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable platter. Carefully lower the tonearm onto the edge of the record. Enjoy the amazing music it plays. When handling the vinyl, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. After each use, put the vinyl back in its sleeve to protect it from dust. Store it in a cool, dry place, standing upright. Don't stack too many records on top of each other to prevent warping. If the vinyl gets dirty, you can use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust particles.
