Description

This is a rock - solid Blue Note album from 1969. Herbie's style here is post - bop soul jazz. It's not about sample spotting; it's a great album for pure listening. Hancock and his crew shine on tracks like the sublime 'I Have A Dream', the title track, 'Firewater' and 'He Who Lives In Fear'. And let's not forget the incredible cover art where Herbie is in a sci - fi cage of type and urban cutouts. This 180g black vinyl is part of Blue Note's Tone Poet 180g audiophile remaster series. It's housed in a glossy tip - on sleeve and is an all - analog remaster cut from the original tapes. The album features Herbie Hancock (p), Joe Henderson (t. sax), Garnett Brown (trombone), Hubert Laws (f), Jerome Richardson (f), Buster Williams (b), Albert Heath (d). It's from Blue Note Records 2020. Reviewed in 04/2008.

Using this vinyl LP is super easy. Just place it on your record player, gently drop the needle on the edge of the record, and let the music play. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints on it, as that could affect the sound quality. Store the vinyl upright in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. After each use, put the record back in its glossy tip - on sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Enjoy the amazing post - bop soul jazz music from Herbie Hancock and his talented crew!
