More psychedelic tunes from Francis Bebey! His native Cameroonian polyrhythms form the base, and his later French - style eclecticism stands out in this collection of his later works. We loved an earlier 1975 - 1982 collection by France's Born Bad Records. This new one takes the best parts and gives us two LPs full of amazing music, leaving us craving more. Focusing on 1982 - 1984, Bebey's later work is filled with beautiful Kalimba sounds. His vocal style is like Serge Gainsbourg's intoxicating, slightly seductive talk - singing, with layer upon layer of patterns swaying beneath. It comes in a gorgeous jacket featuring Brussels - based artist Elzo Durt's amazing illustrations that blend collage, woodblock, and National Geographic styles. Highly recommended. To enjoy this vinyl, just place it on your record player and let the music play. Make sure your record player is in good working condition for the best sound quality. When handling the vinyl, hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. After each use, gently clean the vinyl with a record brush to keep it in top shape. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, standing upright in its sleeve to prevent warping. The jacket is also quite special, so handle it carefully to preserve the beautiful illustrations.
