Hell yeah! 'Love City' on 12 -inch vinyl is a gem. It's one of the best Sly tracks, with dirty - sounding yet golden crisp drums and Sly's powerful wailing. Just 15 seconds of this song outshines all the $1000 funk 45s. Youngsters may have their issues, but many haven't even heard the Life album. Danny's 'Dance To The Music' edit is also great. The drums are extended, making it a smooth transition in a set from syncopated rhythms to a warm, soulful vibe. Music like Jackson 5 or Sly always gets the party going. It's equal - opportunity music. If you don't own Sly albums or don't listen to them, grab a copy of There's a Riot Goin On. You'll thank me later. Music label: T.D. 2003.
