Description

The debut solo album of Curtis Mayfield, following his years of success with the Impressions, was as groundbreaking as Marvin Gaye's What's Going On. Released in 1970, it introduced a new mainstream soul sound - funkier, more progressive in arrangements, and more political and soulful in vocals. Tracks like the honest '(Don't Worry) If There's A Hell Below We're All Gonna Go,' the eight - minute dance hit 'Move On Up,' and the sweet 'We People Who Are Darker Than Blue' are absolute gems. This 50th anniversary edition is a must - have. It comes with a full LP of bonus tracks previously unavailable on vinyl, a Curtis slipmat, and new liner notes. Features include 180g black double vinyl pressing, LP2 with 9 rare bonus tracks on vinyl for the first time, repro gatefold packaging, and a limited - edition one - time pressing. Music label: Run Out Groove 2021.

Using this vinyl record is simple. Just place it on your turntable, gently lower the needle onto the groove, and enjoy the soulful music. When handling the record, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on it. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat to prevent warping. Also, be careful when opening and closing the repro gatefold packaging to avoid any damage. After each use, put the record back in its sleeve to protect it. This limited - edition vinyl is a precious collectible, so handle it with care to keep it in great condition for years to come.
