The final album from the experimental industrial pioneers, Coil, originally launched in 2005. 'The Ape Of Naples' was curated by founding member Peter Christopherson (ex - Throbbing Gristle / Psychic TV / Hipgnosis). He reworked material from past decade projects. Christopherson offers a wide - ranging musical experience, from the ethno - occult 'Fire Of The Mind' to the electronic gamelan minimalism of 'The last Amethyst Deceiver' and the 128kbps spaghetti jazz of 'Tattooed Man'. It serves as an epitaph for Coil co - founder Jhonn Balance, whose macabre lyrics gain new significance here. This is possibly Coil's most straightforward music, with sparse arrangements (perhaps influenced by Steve Reich), clear rhythms, and many tracks close to a perverted verse/chorus structure. Standout tracks include 'Cold Cell', 'Amber Rain', 'Teenage Lightning 2005', the cinematic 'Triple Sun', and 'I Don't Get It'. This black 2LP has a custom etching on the D - side. It's re - cut from the original master, housed in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves, and released by Important Records in 2023. Highly recommended!

Using this Coil vinyl 2LP is simple. Just place it on a turntable and start the playback. Make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition for the best sound quality. When handling the vinyl, always hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Store it vertically in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. If the vinyl gets dirty, you can use a soft, anti - static brush to gently clean the grooves. Enjoy this unique musical experience from Coil!
