This is an audiophile repress of an early favorite by Mingus. 'Chazz!' (also known as 'Mingus At The Bohemia') was first released by Debut in 1956. It's a live recording from New York's Cafe Bohemia in 1955, featuring Mingus, Mal Waldron on keys, George Barrow on tenor sax, Eddie Bert on trombone, and Willie Jones on percussion. Max Roach also joins in for the amazing 'Percussion Discussion.' It comes as a limited, numbered edition of 500 on 140g audiophile clear vinyl. The music label is Doxy 2014 and it was reviewed by TKB in 10/2014.
