Bjork: Debut (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

Bjork's debut solo album from 1993 is now available on limited edition 140 gram beige vinyl, along with a digital download. This album is a masterpiece where the former Sugarcubes vocalist moved from punk to an electronic sound. Many were introduced to Bjork through Michel Gondry's 'Human Behaviour' video on MTV. The four singles - 'Human Behaviour', 'Venus As A Boy', 'Big Time Sensuality' and 'Violently Happy' - put Bjork on the music scene. With heavy jazz influences, she collaborated with jazz harpist Corky Hale on 'Like Someone in Love' and The Art Ensemble of Chicago's Oliver Lake on 'Aeroplane' and 'The Anchor Song'. It combines house, jazz and trip hop styles seamlessly. This album remains enjoyable from start to finish and is highly recommended. Music label: One Little Indian 1993 / 2015.
