Description

“As I look back, my murky past was packed, but I know nothing I can do about it…” Check out the groundbreaking debut full - length from MCR punk - funk pioneers A Certain Ratio. In the late 70s, this four - piece hit the Manchester scene. They blended the great funk of Parliament Funkadelic and EWF with British working - class DIY post - punk. Legendary designer Peter Saville handled the visuals, and indie entrepreneur Tony Wilson managed them. Simon Topping's deadpan vocals set them apart from mainstream funk and R&B. The Graveyard And The Ballroom, often seen as ACR's debut, is a collection of early demos and live tracks. It includes hits like “All Night Party” and different versions of “Flight” and “Choir”. Don't miss the proto - Hacienda grooves of “Faceless”, “Strain” and “The Fox”. Originally on cassette, there was a vinyl issue in 2004. This limited edition of 1000 on white vinyl from Mute comes in a semi - clear PVC pouch like the original cassette. It has printed outer and inner sleeves and a download code. Also available are To Each... | Sextet. Key features: white vinyl, ACR Loco edition with alt sleeve colorway, printed insert, digital download, Mute 2020 release.

To enjoy your A Certain Ratio white vinyl LP, first, carefully take it out of the semi - clear PVC pouch. Make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Place the vinyl gently on the turntable and use the tonearm to start playing. When you're done, put the vinyl back in its sleeve to protect it from dust. Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Don't stack heavy items on top of it. The included digital download code can be used on your preferred music streaming service. Just follow the instructions provided with the code. Since it's a limited edition, handle it with care to maintain its value.
