Here, Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees gives his unique tobacco - flavored tones to 'Same Old Man', a traditional song made famous by Karen Dalton. While Dalton used traditional American instruments like her well - known banjo in her 1971 arrangement, Lanegan re - imagines it with strings, droning Indian tones, sitars, and large - scale production.
