It offers fourteen brand - new organic beat music pieces from the original recording sessions. Makaya prepared and produced this as the soundtrack for the Universal Beings documentary. Directed by Mark Pallman, the documentary takes you behind the scenes of Makaya's journey in Los Angeles, Chicago, London, and New York City while making his breakthrough album. It tells the story of his life, his creative process, and the musician community that brought this project to life. The original Universal Beings was recorded in four cities and features top 'new' jazz players from these musical hotspots, all of whom also appear on E&F Sides. This release has previously unreleased outtakes, comes as a black vinyl pressing, includes a printed insert, and is from the International Anthem Recording Company 2020.
