This late - seventies album from a little genius is a real gem. 'Soul Fire' kicks off with energy that might be unmatched in reggae history. The album then takes you on a trippy journey. As Reggae Monkey said, the sound is all warped and wobbly, like he messed with the master tapes. It's been aptly called the 'The Sgt. Pepper's of Ganja'. The track sequence is a wild ride, with 'Evil Tongues', 'Curly Locks' (a cover of a Studio One hit), and 'Ghetto Sidewalk' sounding like they're from different producers. On the B - side, it gets even better. 'Free Up The Weed' has a bit of a Bob Marley vibe, and 'Yu Squeez' is a great chatty track. The title track is like 'gypsy music on a broken phonograph'. With 10 tracks, it's an experience you don't want to miss. It comes as a 180g black vinyl pressing, originally released in 1978 and re - issued by Music On Vinyl in 2021. To enjoy this vinyl LP, simply place it on your turntable and drop the needle gently on the start of the track you want to play. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints or dirt on it, as this can affect the sound quality. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place and keep it in its sleeve when not in use to protect it from scratches and dust. Don't expose it to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as this can warp the vinyl. If you notice any dust on the record, use a soft anti - static brush to clean it before playing.
