This record is truly terrifying! The first time I listened, I was completely captivated. Familiar only with Kraftwerk's sardonic electro - pop from the early 80s, the inter - station radio sounds on this album bored a perfectly paced and immaculately crafted hole in my mind. 'Radioactivity' features intensely dark, almost operatic key layers and yellow - eyed pitch - shifting blasts that will leave you in a semi - seizure state of rapture. It's the perfect manifestation of Kraftwerk's style. If Stockhausen's work is too much for you, but you still want to enter a world of petrified critical introversion, especially something German, then this album is a great choice, just like Goethe's works. It's an album that simultaneously twists your stomach and makes you smile with its arcane and phantasmal beauty. It's always ahead of its time and a bit daunting. Listening to it is like being transported to the ruins of the end of the world 30 years ago. This deluxe yellow pressing comes with a 16 - page booklet insert and a monochrome inner sleeve with the original LP artwork. Features include yellow colored vinyl, indie exclusivity, a full - color printed inner sleeve with original album art, a deluxe photo booklet, remastered sound, and it's from the Kling Klang label (2020).
