Warpaint's bass guitarist and backup vocalist Jenny Lee steps into the spotlight with her solo venture! For a while, she teased this solo project on social media, and now we have an album that could've easily been the next Warpaint masterpiece. If you're a big fan of the group, you'll recall the funkier tracks on their 2014 self - titled album. 'Right On' clearly shows Jenny Lee's influence on the band's sound. In the music world, comparisons are inevitable. While Warpaint is often wrongly compared to dissimilar bands, this album reminds me of Echo and the Bunnymen, early The Cure, and those chorused bass lines bring back memories of a young Peter Hook. To enjoy this vinyl LP, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the marbled blue vinyl on the turntable. Lower the tonearm carefully onto the record to start the music. When you're done listening, lift the tonearm back to its rest position and remove the vinyl. Store the vinyl in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Keep it in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. Avoid touching the playing surface of the vinyl with your fingers as it can leave oils and dirt that may affect the sound quality.
