Elektro4: Archaeometry Vinyl LP

Mike Schofield, known as ElekTro4, is a New York-based producer. He started drumming early and began DJing in the '90s, lured by KMD's “Peach Fuzz”. His production skills have a long history, and his works, including some 45s and a full - length album, can be heard in skate videos and TV shows. On his second album for Chicago's Headrums Records, Schofield presents 13 beats with psychedelic textures, dusty drums, and a soulful touch that runs through the whole project. Unlike many beat albums that make listeners wish for an MC, Archaeometry has no dull moments thanks to Schofield's smart use of samples and his talent for adding or removing details. Tracks like “Dansa”, “First Beam”, “Aki's Theme”, “Nothing Left”, and “The Asylum” are all great. Music label: Heardrums 2016. Reviewed by donut savage 08/2016.

Using this vinyl LP is super easy. Just place it on a working record player, gently drop the needle on the groove, and enjoy the music.
