This is an amazing record! Looking back, it's easy to be influenced by Coldplay's later work or judge the whole album by the hit single that seems kid - friendly. But in 2000, Coldplay brought a dull yet catchy and refreshingly simple pop sound, different from the art - school pretense of Radiohead. Maybe I was lucky to hear the full CD in a friend's car before 'Yellow' got overplayed on the radio. Listening to their early downcast mope - rock on tracks like 'Don't Panic', 'Sparks', 'Trouble', 'High Speed', 'Spies' or 'Parachutes', it's hard to think they ever aimed for the charts or had anything to do with The Chainsmokers or Gwyneth Paltrow. This is a 20th anniversary edition with an 180g black vinyl pressing and a printed inner sleeve. It was originally released in 2000 and is from the Parlophone label in 2020. Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on a compatible record player, gently drop the needle on the start of the record, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or fingerprints on it. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place, standing upright to prevent warping. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. If the record gets dirty, you can use a soft, anti - static record brush to gently clean the grooves. This will help keep the sound quality great for a long time.
