Originally recorded in 1974, Mingus At Carnegie Hall was initially released as a 1LP with just 2 long tracks from the concert. The original '74 concert boasted 2 hours of performances, but around 70+ minutes were cut. In the 1970s, with jazz on the decline in the US, Atlantic Records hesitated to release a more expensive 3LP set. Now, 47 years later, in honor of this year's Black Music Month, Run Out Groove has released the complete 1974 album with over 72 minutes of unreleased material and the correct concert sequence. This deluxe 3LP set comes with never - before - seen photos by Gosta Peterson and new liner notes by Michael Cuscuna. It's Charles Mingus' full 2+ hour performance on vinyl for the first time, in a black triple vinyl pressing, housed in a deluxe triple - panel gatefold jacket with a printed insert and new liner notes. It's a limited - edition, one - time pressing from Run Out Groove in 2021.

Using this vinyl set is simple. Just place the vinyl on your turntable, gently drop the needle on the record, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting fingerprints on the record, which can affect the sound quality. After each use, carefully place the vinyl back in its sleeve to protect it from dust and scratches. Store the vinyl upright in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. The deluxe gatefold jacket is also delicate, so handle it with care to keep it in good condition.
