This album marks Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer's transition from ska to conscious reggae. Before, the trio collaborated with Lee 'Scratch' Perry on tracks like 'Try Me' and 'My Cup,' and later released the brooding 'Duppy Conqueror' in 1970. The continued partnership produced classics such as 'Soul Rebels' and '(Who Is) Mr Brown.' 'Soul Rebels' became the title of the first album by Bob Marley & The Wailers outside Jamaica. Lee Perry uses minimal instrumentation, creating a sparse and eerie backdrop, while the easy - going vocals and harmonies with deep, conscious messages make the record outstanding. Highlights are 'My Cup,' 'Try Me,' 'Soul Almighty,' and the title track. It comes in a green vinyl pressing. Music Label: Cleopatra 1970 / 2019. Reviewed by singing in japanese 11/2019.

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it on a record player and start enjoying the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid leaving fingerprints or dirt on it. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat, as these can warp the vinyl. Store it in a cool, dry place, preferably in its original sleeve to protect it from scratches.
