Trusted music maestros Blackcash & Theo present two timeless classics for the Galaxy Sample Series. The A-side features Quincy Jones' 'Summer In The City,' with its deep organ riffs that became iconic in The Pharcyde's 'Passin Me By' and were also sampled by Massive Attack, Black Moon, and Nightmares On Wax. Gen X and millennial fans might recall the overplayed remix of Joe's 'Stutter' too. The B-side is Jack DeJohnette's 'Epilog' from his rare Sorcery LP. It's best known as the break in Erykah Badu's Dilla-produced 'Kiss Me On My Neck' and was also used by Aphex Twin and Gaslamp Killer. Both tracks are remastered and edited for better breaks and DJ convenience. It comes on a 7-inch black vinyl, and the music label is Galaxy Sound Co. 2021. Reviewed by Fusilli Jerry in 02/2021.
