Vespertine marked a bold departure from Bjork's previous sultry downtempo and chic IDM albums. With help from Matmos, Opiate, and Console, she creates a unique soundscape. She layers samples of cracking ice, snow footsteps, and shuffling cards over meticulously - programmed microbeats. This album is often called a 'domestic' and 'winter' record. Lyrically, Bjork explores a vulnerable side, musing on love and longing for isolation. Tracks like 'Pagan Poetry' are among the darkest, while 'Heirloom' and 'An Echo, A Stain' are incredibly intimate. It's a killer album from start to finish. This is a black double vinyl pressing in a glossy gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves. Originally released in 2001, it's re - issued by One Little Indian in 2013. Highly recommended!

To use this vinyl, first, make sure your record player is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable, center it, and lower the needle carefully onto the record. When you're done listening, lift the needle gently and return it to its rest. Store the vinyl in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent warping. Keep the gatefold sleeve clean to maintain its appearance. Avoid touching the playing surface of the vinyl with your fingers to prevent dirt and oil buildup. If the vinyl gets dirty, use a proper record cleaning brush to gently clean it.
