Description

This music was recorded 30 miles west of El Paso, in the midst of 3,000 - acre pecan orchards, with the band members just inches apart. Big Thief, composed of Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek, Max Oleartchik, and James Krivchenia, presents Two Hands, their most significant song collection to date. Released only 5 months after the cosmic U.F.O.F., Two Hands has a dry - as - the - Roswell - desert feel. The album focuses on the earth and the increasing real - world dangers it faces. Lenker says, 'Two Hands has my proudest songs; I can picture myself singing them when I'm old. It's musically and lyrically bare - bones.' Producers Dom Monks and Andrew Sarlo return, mainly documenting the live studio sounds. Tracks like 'Forgotten Eyes' show a great soundstage with Lenker's live vocals shimmering and crackling. 'Two Hands' starts with intertwined guitar and shuffling percussion, later enhanced by thick bass and acoustic touches. 'Not' is more menacing, building up to dueling guitar solos before fading to amp buzz. This limited - edition album comes on indie - exclusive desert peach vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve, and includes a digital download. It's a 2019 release from 4AD.

To enjoy this Big Thief - Two Hands vinyl album, first, gently remove it from the gatefold sleeve. Place it on your turntable carefully and use the tonearm to drop the needle at the start of the record. When you're done listening, lift the tonearm gently and return it to its rest. Then, put the vinyl back in the sleeve. Keep the album away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to prevent warping. Avoid touching the playing surface of the vinyl with your fingers as it can leave oils and dirt that may affect the sound quality. If the vinyl gets dirty, you can use a proper vinyl cleaning brush to gently clean it. And don't forget, you also have a digital download, so you can listen to the music on your mobile devices too.
