In early March 2020, the Big Thief tour was cut short. Adrianne flew from Europe to NYC and found a cabin near friends in Western MA. She invited Phil Weinrobe to make a record that sounds like an acoustic guitar's interior. With the help of friends lending equipment like tape machines, a binaural head, and XLR cables, they got started. By the time Phil arrived, Adrianne was deeply heartsick, and new songs came pouring in. They recorded with the flow, starting and ending each day with improvised acoustic guitar instrumentals. These were collaged into the first side of the instrumentals album. This is a collection of 2 home - recorded albums by Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief. It's a black double vinyl pressing, recorded, mastered, and manufactured using a 100% analog process. Housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves, it's released by 4AD in 2020. These songs have helped Adrianne heal, and she hopes they can be a friend to you too.

To enjoy this vinyl, first, make sure your turntable is clean and in good working condition. Gently place the vinyl on the turntable, center it, and lower the tonearm carefully. When you're done listening, lift the tonearm back to its rest and remove the vinyl. Always hold the vinyl by its edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface. Store it in a cool, dry place, standing upright in its sleeve to prevent warping. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat sources. This music is meant to be savored, so take your time and let it soothe your soul.
